Tragic Accident Claims the Lives of Two in Maple Park, Illinois

MAPLE PARK, Ill. – It is with great sadness that we report a fatal accident that took place on State Route 64 in Maple Park, Illinois on Monday. The incident involved a 2008 Chevrolet Impala and a Peterbilt semi.

According to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office, the occupants of the Impala were headed north on East County Line Road and pulled into the 2-way intersection before it was safe to do so. This led to a collision with the eastbound Peterbilt, resulting in both vehicles being sent into the northeast ditch.

Sadly, the driver and passenger of the Impala were killed in the accident. The driver of the Peterbilt was seen by paramedics but was later released at the scene.
